David Campbell Paintings will provide a refund for online purchases of artworks subject to the conditions contained herein.
Damage in transit is covered by shipping insurance and will be dealt with separately from general refund requests.
If the packaging itself has been damaged to the point that you suspect that its artwork has also been damaged, please take a photograph of that damage before you open the package. Should the artwork also be significantly damaged, follow the instructions under How to Claim.
General Conditions
• You have 10 days from the date you take receipt of the goods in which to notify the
artist of your intention to request a return of the artwork (excludes commissions)
• There is no refund on paintings purchased on a commission basis
• Refunds exclude shipping costs
• You are responsible for freight costs to return the artwork
• Artwork must be packed and returned in its original packing carton
• The artwork must be in the same original condition as shipped and not have any alterations or damage of any type
• Refunds will not be made until the artwork has been returned, inspected and accepted by the artist. Once a refund is agreed to by the artist it will be arranged within 24hrs
How to Claim
• To request a return and refund you need to notify the artist by email mailto:davidc@davidncampbell.com.au
• In that email state
o Your name and contact details
o Date of purchase
o Title of artwork and amount paid
o Reason you wish to return the artwork. In the case of damage in transit or by other means include photographs of both packaging and artwork damage
What’s accepted
• The artwork you receive materially differs from its reference photograph(s) on the website
• The photograph on the website clearly misrepresents the artwork you have received
• The artwork you received is significantly different in size from that shown on the website. Noting that all sizes shown on the website may not be exact to the actual sizes
• The artwork or frame is significantly damaged but the shipping carton is not
• You took delivery of an incorrect artwork that you did not order
What’s not accepted
• Changing your mind
• Minor differences in colour between the actual artwork and that of the reference photograph on the website
• Minor differences in size between the actual artwork and that of the reference photograph on the website
• Malicious or deliberate damage
• Damage on return by poor or inadequate return packaging (not in the original carton)
• Artwork purchased on a commission basis
