SL with Green Vase

What a delight it was to develop this work from concept to framing. The rich textural fabric of the flowers in Cad red/ Cad yellow light against a Courbet green and zinc white background. Simple but effective. The muted tones of the vase and base surface both help support the vibrancy of the flowers and ground the arrangement. This is a beautiful painting of which I am most proud. I do hope it finds a good home and that the collector gets the same level of pleasure from it as I did making it.
